Batch SFTP eWay fails to authenticate using public key authorization (Doc ID 1029484.1)

Symptoms

This document addresses a problem where the SFTP Batch eWay generates an error when trying to authenticate with the remote host.

If you are receiving the following errors:

2006-02-10 22:06:41,209 ERROR [Thread-32] [STC.eWay.batch.com.stc.connector.ssh.ftp.client.impl.SFTPClientImpl] [] Password authentication return : SshAuthentication.FAILED
2006-02-10 22:06:41,210 ERROR [Thread-32] [STC.eWay.batch.sftp.ra.com.stc.connector.batchadapter.appconn.sftp.SFTPEwayConnection] [] Failed to create an interface object SFTP, e=Password authentication faile, return =SshAuthentication.FAILED
2006-02-10 22:06:41,219 DEBUG [Thread-32] [STC.eWay.batch.sftp.ra.com.stc.connector.batchadapter.appconn.sftp.SFTPEwayConnection] [] Failed to create an interface object SFTP.
java.lang.Exception: Password authentication faile, return =SshAuthentication.FAILED
