Last updated on SEPTEMBER 06, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.2.0 to 11.1.1.7.8 [Release 11gR1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a valid XPath expression is used in a document definition, the message details generated at runtime do not contain the corresponding XPath Value.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1) Navigate to B2B Console -> Administration -> Document -> EDI_EDIFACT -> D98A -> ORDERS -> Orders_def -> XPath
2) Add an expression to field XPath Expression1.

For example:

/Transaction-850/Segment-BEG/Element-324

3) Deploy agreement.
4) Post an inbound message.
5) Check details for the completed message under Reports and find that coresponding Xpath Value1 is not populated.
