Symptoms

Users that were deleted then re-created in OID 11g are unable to login to Portal. The following error is displayed after submitting valid login credentials:

Error: Internal error (WWC-00006)
Unexpected error encountered in wwsec_app_priv.process_signon (User-Defined Exception) (WWC-41417)
There is a conflict with your assigned user name. There is a user entry with this name, but with a different globally unique identifier, which must be resolved before you can log on with this name. Notify your administrator. (WWC-41742)

It has been confirmed that the orclguid value for the newly created user in OID does not match the GUID value in the portal.wwsec_person$ table.

<Note:396473.1> SSO Admin Application Login Fails WWC-00000 WWC-41742 has been referenced and manual update of portal.wwsec_person$.guid resolves the problem for that user.

A permanent solution that does not require manual intervention is required.
