Symptoms

It is highly recommended to follow the Capacity planning guide before designing your Portal.

Not following these recommendations and creating very big portals with around 200 desktops and 30-40 books each will result in around 7000 book definitions in Portal database.

In Portal Administration Tool (PAT), clicking on any of these desktops of such a big Portal on the left hand side for showing the properties on the right takes several minutes to complete, even if no entitlements have been defined.
