Unable to Start JRMC Console, MemLeak, or JRA when using JRockit and JBoss (Doc ID 1067036.1)

Symptoms

  • Using JRockit R27.6.X with JBoss 4.2.3
  • JBoss is started with the following parameters:
-Djavax.management.builder.initial=org.jboss.system.server.jmx.MBeanServerBuilderImpl
-Djboss.platform.mbeanserver -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote
  • After starting JRockit Mission Control (JRMC), it is not possible to start the Console, MemLeak or JRA applications.
  • The following error appears on the screen when trying to access the Console:
Could not open Management Console for [1.6] JBoss (21,265).

Caused by: javax.management.InstanceNotFoundException:
java.lang:type=Runtime is not registered.
etc...
  • When attempting to start the Console again, the following error occurs:
Error opening the editor.
bea.jrockit.management:type=Profiler is not registered.
