Symptoms


Service Provider (SP) initiated Single Sign On (SSO) login using Oracle Identity Federation (OIF) is failing with error HTTP-500 Internal Server Error.

The OIF SP log file shows the following ERROR or SEVERE: Exception depending on the OIF release.

Release 10.1.4.0.1:

09/11/30 12:29:33: ERROR oracle.security.fed.controller.ApplicationController.processServletRequest() - java.lang.NullPointerException

Releases 10.1.4.3 and 11g:

Could not find the AuthnRequest associated to the Assertion
