Webcenter Event Email Link Does Not Prompt SSO Login

Symptoms
The View Event URL in e-mail received by event recipients forces users to login twice. The generic WebCenter login screen is displayed first and then the SSO login screen is displayed a second time. Only after the second authentication is the Events screen displayed to the user.
First screen - Generic WebCenter Spaces Login Page:
