Purpose

Oracle TopLink 11g is built on the Eclipse Persistence Platform.

EclipseLink was initiated created/based on the contribution of Oracle TopLink (10g). The full persistence capabilities of Oracle TopLink was contributed to the Open Source project.

Going forward Oracle TopLink (11g) will include EclipseLink to deliver its core persistence functionality.

The following matrix describes the relationship between the EclipseLink library and the Oracle TopLink product versions.
