Symptoms

Tomcat 5.0.25 application using JDBC Thin 10.2.0.1 and JDK 1.4.2 fails during connection with error:

Error in servlet Io exception: Connection reset by peer: socket write error
java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: Connection reset by peer: socket write error


The error occurs intermittently.

JDBC jar files classes111.jar and classes12.jar are set in the CLASSPATH.
