Users experience javascript errors when trying to edit Publisher portlets in IE. The javascript errors prevent the user from checking out a content item for editing. This issue does not appear to be a problem in Firefox as the browser will ignore the errors. This problem is specific to AquaLogic Interaction Publisher 6.5, which is used in conjunction with Webcenter Interaction Portal (AKA BEA Aqualogic User Interaction or WCI).

The Javascript errors appear as follows:

Message: Object expected
Line: 99
Char: 2
Code: 0

This behavior appears to occur more frequently when upgrading to Publisher 6.5 from an earlier release.
