OAM Form Login Fails With Error: The mapping of credentials ..... to a user profile failed. (Doc ID 1073216.1)

Symptoms


After configuring a custom form login page for Oracle Access Manager (OAM) protected resources, when the Submit button is pressed in the login page an error similar to the following occurs:

Oracle Access Manager Operation Error

The mapping of credentials (password=(omitted) Resource=/access/dummy RequesterIP=10.6.6.6 HostTarget=http://authn.oracle.com Operation=POST) to a user profile failed. The Access Server may not be able to connect to the user directory, or the authentication scheme Custom Form may have an invalid obMappingFilter parameter for its credential_mapping plugin.

Contact your website administrator to remedy this problem.

The same error occurs even if no credentials are entered before pressing the Submit button.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Access the OAM-protected resource in the browser
2. The user is redirected to the OAM form login page
3. The user enters a username and password then clicks Submit
4. The error reported above occurs
