Symptoms
In a WebCache 10.1.2.3 environment, after implementing the <Note 342626.1> to be able to use WebCache in SSL disabling the SSLv2 protocol, the handshake still fails when using IE on Windows Vista / Windows 7.
The following error is logged in the $ORACLE_HOME/webcache/logs/event_log file:
The problem does not reproduce with other browsers like Firefox or Chrome.
The problem does not reproduce on WebCache 11g versions.
