The Remote Diagnostics Agent (RDA) is a command line utility to collect diagnostics information of installed Oracle products at a given instance. The RDA output supplements customary SR updates towards efficient resolution of technical issues. The RDA is a "one-does-all" utility bundled with several component specific scripts that allow collection of data from a variety of product installations and configurations.
As newer Oracle products (and newer versions of existing Oracle products) are released newer versions of RDA are made available to facilitate data collection while maintaining compatibility with older supported products/versions.
This "first-step" document is intended to assist users in determining what Note (with detail steps) to follow to collect Fusion Middleware product specific diagnostics information. This document is superseded by Remote Diagnostics Agent - Overview and User Guide.
