Spaces Privileges Not reflected Immediately in WebCenter Cluster Nodes (Doc ID 1080449.1)

Last updated on JULY 10, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.5.0 to 11.1.1.9.2 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

WebCenter is installed in High Availability / Cluster.

WebCenter Spaces privileges usually are not reflected immediately within a WebCenter Cluster node, eg, it takes some time for those changes be reflected onto the other WebCenter Cluster node(s).

Example:

You are unable to access a Space created on one cluster server node, from another cluster server node within the WebCenter Cluster.

Testcase:

  1. Create a Space by directly accessing the Spaces application from one of the clustered servers ( e.g., http://<HOST>:<PORT>/webcenter )
  2. Logout from the Spaces application.
  3. Login onto the Spaces application from another clustered server (e.g., http://<HOST>:<PORT>/webcenter )
Result: The new Space won't be displayed.
