Validate XML in BPEL ProcesssFailing With Null Pointer Exception (Doc ID 1082923.1)

Symptoms


You have a schema and extend one of  the element attributes, but when you use validate xml in your BPEL process to validate the incoming XML document, it throws a null pointer exception at the element with the extended attribute:

In this case, the customer had an OAGIS BOD and extended one of the element attributes. The same thing works in 10.1.3.3.1.
