WebCache Not Logging To Proper Access Log When URL-Prefix Is Used in Site Definition (Doc ID 1083987.1)

Last updated on MAY 26, 2023

Applies to:

Web Cache - Version 10.1.2.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using URLPrefix for site definition and defining separate access logs for each URL-Prefix sites, the log file is created but nothing is written into them. Instead all the log messages are going to the site-wide access_log

e.g. if there are 2 site definitions namely
http://<HOSTNAME.DOMAIN>:80
http://<HOSTNAME.DOMAIN>:80/images -->(where "/images/" is defined as the URL prefix)

and there are 2 seperate access_logs defined for each of these sites i.e

http://<HOSTNAME.DOMAIN>:80 --> defaultAccess_log
http://<HOSTNAME.DOMAIN>:80/images -->UrlAccess_log

All the log messages, even when accessing the URL-prefix site is going to defaultAccess_log .
