The purpose of this document is to illustrate - via a simple case study - the steps required to 'upgrade' an Oracle Forms / Reports application from OracleAS 10g Rel 2 to Fusion Middleware 11g.
This document will focus on the specific actions required to make an OracleAS 10g Rel 2 Forms / Reports application work in a Fusion Middleware 11g environment. The installation of Fusion Middleware (FMW) 11g and/or running of the FMW 11g Upgrade Assistant is not discussed. The case study described in this document uses:
1. A slightly modified form of the standard "Summit" application available through Oracle Technology Network (aka OTN). An example of Reports integration is added to the application. This modified version of the summit application is attached to this document - reference "modified_summit.tar.gz"
2. This document uses the standard webutil demo application attached to this article.
