Webcenter Intermittently Gives Permission to Users rather than Groups

Symptoms
Intermittently the following problem occurs in WebCenter Spaces PS1:
When trying to add a group as a member to a group space then instead of the group, the users contained in the group are added.
The problem cannot be reproduced at will. Sometimes it does not occur for a week. Once it occurs, the same operation repeated does not have this problem.
The following messages are written into the WLS_Spaces-diagnostic.log when the problem occurs:
