'Warehouse service cannot connect to the Directory Service' is thrown when trying to start the Warehouse Service (Doc ID 1092829.1)

Symptoms

BAM/DW Updater Service does not start. BAM / DW data is not updated.

The following message is thrown in dwupdater_service.log

Changes

A possible change is the database version is being upgraded (for example from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005). Other changes include Databases that are being cloned from one environment to another or a change in the owner (admin) of the database.
