Too Many Entries Are Written To The Event Log By AD Password Sync Connector (Doc ID 1107343.1)

Symptoms

AD Password Sync writes messages to the event log when trying to update the password in OIM. OIM will not allow the update if the password already exists in the password history in OIM. However the update is retried the number of times specified in the installer during installation and messages as generated to the domain controller logs. The number of messages written is not modified even if the max retries in the registry are modified.
