Symptoms
There can be different symptoms based on the Database (DB) being used:
1. For Sybase, the servers won't start up and will throw the following exception:
<Error> <JDBC> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '1' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <> <> <> <1273516761272> <BEA-001112> <Test "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM SYSTABLES" set up for pool "p13nDataSource" failed with exception: "java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: [OWLS][Sybase JDBC Driver][Sybase]SYSTABLES not found. Specify owner.objectname or use sp_help to check whether the object exists (sp_help may produce lots of output).
2. For Oracle, the servers do start up but they continually print the following exception to stdout:
<Error> <JDBC> <BEA-001112> <Test "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM SYSTABLES" set up for pool "p13nDataSource" failed with exception: "java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
