Last updated on JUNE 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version 10.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

SALT (Service Architecture Leverage Tuxedo) provides bi-directional communication between Tuxedo services and other web service implementations. Currently SALT only handles the translation between SOAP payload and Tuxedo typed buffers. SALT supports the SOAP header defined by the following specifications  (WS-Addressing, WSRM, and WS-Security).  The purpose of SALT is to execute  some business logic at the protocol level of the web services side without any application modification. This document will describe a mechanism to achieve this.
