Goal

The purpose of this article is to describe the steps performed by the Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On (eSSO) Logon Manager (LM) console when extending an Microsoft Active Directory (AD) schema to enable it to be used as a repository for user credentials. The steps described here are those that are performed when storing user credentials under the user entries in AD.


Note that the actions described in the article are those performed by the LM console and are for information purposes only. This article is not intended as a step by step guide to manually extend an AD schema and Oracle accepts no responsibility for the consequences of any attempt to apply these steps other than as documented, i.e. via the LM console.
