WLS 10.3: Getting IOException regarding a missing valid SOAP content-type. (Doc ID 1135281.1)

Symptoms

On upgrading from WLS81SP6 to WLS 10.3 the below SOAP fault exceptions are seen on the client side:

<WSEE:1857>weblogic.wsee.handler.InvocationException: Failed to receive message java.io.IOException: Received a response from url: http://<hostname.domain>:<port3>/AppName-context-root/AppNameWSSoapHttpPort which did not have a valid SOAP content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8.<HandlerIterator.setFaultOnContext:3

Changes

Upgrade from WLS 8.1 SP6 to WLS 10.3.
