Symptoms

Issue of "PlatformMBeanServerUsed" attribute message thrown when seeing JVM Performance metrics using Enterprise Manager console was reported.

Below is "PlatformMBeanServerUsed" message shown on Enterprise Manager console at the time of issue:

The JVM metrics require the Platform MBeanServer to be enabled on the domain using the WebLogic console. It may (depending on the server version) also require the attribute PlatformMBeanServerUsed to be set to true on the domain JMX MBean using WLST. After making these changes, you must restart the server.
