Symptoms

In a WebLogic Server 10.3 application the overall performance starts to degrade while the store file sizes are increasing over time. These files use the following naming convention:
$DOMAIN_NAME/servers/$SERVER_NAME/data/store/default/_WLS_$SERVER_NAME000000.DAT
