Symptoms
Reports Server on version 10.1.2.3.0, but it can apply to any version.
After some idle time, the following errors are raised when running a report:
Error 50103 (C Engine): ERR REP-3335: Unhandled Internal CA Error.aaaac 44 2396, (null), 0, ORA-02396: exceeded maximum idle time, please connect again
or:
err.errorString=An unhandled internal CA error occurred.aaaac 44 3135, (null), 0, ORA-03135: connection lost contact
or:
REP-501: Unable to connect to the specified database.
The engine trace file shows the following messages:
Error 50103 (C Engine): ERR REP-0501: Unable to connect to the specified database.
ORA-00022: invalid session ID; access denied
Changes
No changes reported at database level or reports server level.
