An Adapter Stops Working and Is No Longer Visible in the Application Server's Enterprise Manager Console

Some time after an MLR was applied, an attempt to modify the Adapter via Enterprise Manager Console failed with an error:

An error has occurred. Error invoking method: setEISSignOnScheme on MBean: oc4j:j2eeType=JCAConnectionFactory,name=eis/someAdapter,JCAResource=JCAResource,ResourceAdapter=SOMEAdapter,ResourceAdapterModule=someAdapter,J2EEApplication=default,J2EEServer=standalone

A subsequent restart of the Application Server resulted in the Adapter no longer being visible in Enterprise Manager.


The issue happened after an MLR application and an attempted modification to the Adapter configuration file.
