Problem with character limitation of the 'mailto' protocol in WebCenter Spaces (Doc ID 1149020.1)

Symptoms

Step-by-Step

  1. Create a Group Space (Community of Interest template).
  2. Add  a couple users (regardless of their role). Make sure the number of characters of all their emails addresses, put together, exceeds the 255 characters.
  3. Click on any of the notification /Send to cons within WebCenter Group Space, eg, within the Settings tab, in the Members sub-tab, at the bottom of the screen (above the users of the Group Space) click 'Send Mail'.
  4. The following error message when Outlook opens is seen and the "To" field is empty:
