Access to mod_osso Protected Resource Loops After Submitting SSO Credentials or Generates 'Page Cannot Be Displayed' Error in IE (Doc ID 1152404.1)

Symptoms


Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) has been configured to protect an application resource using mod_osso, so that users are redirected to the Oracle Single Sign-On (OSSO) login page to authenticate before they can access the application.

When accessing the application the Oracle SSO login page is displayed, but after submitting valid credentials the Internet Explorer (IE) browser displays message: 'Page Cannot be Displayed.'

Using Firefox browser, looping occurs after submitting SSO credentials.


Steps to reproduce

1. Access http://myapp.oracle.com:7777/private/test.html
2. The Oracle SSO login page is displayed: enter valid SSO credentials and Submit.
3. Interet Explorer browser displays error 'Page Cannot Be Displayed'. Looping occurs using Firefox browser.
