Goal

When using Oracle Internet Directory (OID) or Directory Integration and Provisioning Server (DIP) to integrate with Microsoft (MS) Active Directory (AD) you may see error messages returned from the Active Directory server in the log or trace files. Often these are generic LDAP error codes however the AD server also returns a System Error Code with the message.

This System Error Code can be used to get more specific information about the error.
