WLS 10.3 - 'weblogic-ejb-jar.xsd' Does Not Contain 'ejb-local-reference-description' (Doc ID 1163845.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 16, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In WLS 10.3 documentation it states that 'weblogic-ejb-jar.xml' contains element
<ejb-local-reference-description> with no range of values, an empty default value, and weblogic-enterprise-bean as the parent element. The function of this element is described as "Maps the JNDI name of an EJB in the WebLogic Server instance that is referenced by the bean in the ejb-local-ref element."

But the schema 'weblogic-ejb-jar.xsd' does not contain the element "<ejb-local-reference-description>".
Hence, the above weblogic-ejb-jar.xsd schema does not accept the "ejb-local-reference-description" element because it is not included in the schema. How to resolve this issue?
