Symptoms

When initialising an EBS R12 system in ERPI on the 'Maintain Source System Integration Details' screen (Administration > Source System Registration) something like the following is returned in the ERPI web interface where Extract Id is null:

Process has been submitted to initialize the source system. Process Id : x Extract Id : null

If an ODI Agent has been started from the command line something like the following will appear in the window where the ODI Agent was started:

Starting Oracle Data Integrator Agent...

If the ODI Agent is running as a Windows service though then the same error will be seen in the oracledi\bin\agentservice.log file:

Nothing will be logged in the ODI Operator; this is why Extract Id is null.

Please note, the same error message will be seen in the ERPI web interface but with none of the accompanying error messages stated above if an ODI 11g Agent is used rather than an ODI 10g Agent.

Versions if ERPI prior to release 11.1.2.1.501 are not compatible with ODI 11g (as per the certification matrix) and require an ODI 10g Agent to be able to run the scenarios that are provided with ERPI.
