WLST startServer Command Not Blocking Prompt When Using Admin Port (Doc ID 1177138.1)

Symptoms

When using a WLST script that invokes startServer(... block=true...) and uses the domain-wide administration port, two problems can be encountered:

  1. When server starts, it gives an error saying that the Administration port is already in use. If you try to access the console at this stage, you get an HTTP 403 error.
  2. WLST is not blocking the prompt until the server is in running state: it exits before.
