WLs 9.2: How to set a Generichandler at the application level for a Webservice application? (Doc ID 1178897.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 24, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Weblogic Server - Version: 9.2 and later   [Release: and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Currently you may have a developed Webservice application which has a handler that inherits from javax.xml.rpc.handler.GenericHandler to handle Exceptions from Webservices.

You have currently set the Handler at the service level using:
@HandlerChain(file="HandlerConfiguration.xml", name="MyHandlerChain") annotation.

You might be looking for a feature where the handler can be set at the application level instead of service level so that multiple services need not be annotated individually.
