Symptoms

WebCenter Analytics AnalyticsLoadEvents.bat (.sh) Fails With The Error:

ORA-12505 Connection refused, the specified SID (<SID NAME>) was not recognized by the Oracle server.
This error is also viewable in the eventloader.log file located at:
<BEA_HOME>/alui/ptanalytics/10.3.0/logs/

Changes

Run AnalyticsLoadEvents.bat (Windows) or AnalyticsLoadEvents.sh (Unix) as part of the WebCenter Analytics installation process.

This script is used to register events on the Analytics Server which are sent from the WebCenter Interaction Portal.
