SOA 11g PS2: FTP Adapter Chunkedread operation fills the control directory (Doc ID 1184473.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 03, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You have a process that polls files from a remote location and reads the header properties, using these header properties it starts a FTP adapter chunkedread outbound operation to read the data in a chunked manner from large files (More than 100MB).

The FTP Adapter chunkedread spec is pulling the whole file for each chunk and putting it into the control directory /fileftp temp directory (High Availability setup requires a control directory for an Active/Active configuration) due to this, it is filling the file system before it finishes processing the file and it stops all of the processes that are running due to unavailability of the file system.
