Symptoms

When attempting to access a serial I/O port from an Oracle Application Server deployed JSF/Java application that communicates with serial devices, if using Java SE 1.6, the following error message is received:


Exception: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com.sun.comm.Unix.isDevLink(Ljava/lang/String;)Z

If the application is run with Java SE 5, then there is no issue accessing the serial ports.

Changes

Upgraded Java SE 1.5 to Java SE 1.6.
