Not Able To Login To 11g Portal Once Global Inactivity Timeout (GITO) Is Enabled (Doc ID 1189303.1)

Symptoms

When the Global Inactivity Timeout is enabled in the SSO Server, login fails in Oracle Portal 11g. The user is authenticated in SSO but the SSO screen states :

Error: The application you are trying to access requires you to sign in again even if you have signed in previously.


The system clock on the SSO server and the Portal middle tier server are synchronized..

Changes

GITO has been enabled according to the instructions in section 1.2.7 in the SSO Administrator's Guide.
