WebLogic Logs Messages Showing Low Percentage of Free Memory: "BEA-310002 - 4% of the total memory in the server is free" (Doc ID 1191574.1)

Symptoms

The WebLogic log shows that available memory (ie java heap) is dwindling: Example:

####<Aug 30, 2010 2:03:45 PM EDT> <Info> <Server> <mywebsrv> <PIA> <weblogic.GCMonitor> <> <> <> <1283191425296> <BEA-310002> <15% of the total memory in the server is free>
####<Aug 30, 2010 2:19:45 PM EDT> <Info> <Server> <mywebsrv> <PIA> <weblogic.GCMonitor> <> <> <> <1283192385283> <BEA-310002> <4% of the total memory in the server is free>


Even though the above messages are observed, there are no issues with performance or WebLogic functionality.
