Last updated on APRIL 14, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Service Bus - Version 2.1 to 11.1.1.3.0 [Release Aqualogic Service Bus to 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In an Oracle Service Bus (OSB)  file proxy with Sort By Arrival set to true what is the granularity for timestamp?
If two files are created within the same second will they be processed in the correct creation order?
Is the "Sort by Arrival" time option for the file adapter granular enough to evaluate the time down to the
millisecond?
i.e. If two files are created/received one at 00:00:01.1111 and one at 00:00:01.2222, will OSB guarantee to process them in the order they arrive?
