Symptoms
The auto-recovery settings in 10.1.3.5.1 are a great help. However, with some small improvement, it could save significantly more time. There are many cases where manual recovery doesn't work. In these cases, neither will auto-recovery. This means that some action has to be taken by someone, or a message has to be marked as cancelled. However, the auto-recovery function has no intelligence, it just keeps on retrying and retrying the same things that are not going to get recovered. As the list of things which can't be recovered increases, this will impact performance, and also impact the recoverability of items that really CAN be recovered.
