OAS4OS Logins Hang When OID is Down (Doc ID 1198759.1)

Symptoms

OAS4OS version 11.1.1.3

Login hangs or authentication takes long time when OID server is not available

The "nsswitch.conf" file is already configured to fall back to files if ldap is unavailable (as shown below)

passwd: files
shadow: files
group: files

But, this doesn't work as expected.

 

 

Changes

OID Server was brought down for maintenance
