java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException While Installing WebLogic Portal (WLP) Generic Installer (Doc ID 1204463.1)

Symptoms

Unzipping a WebLogic Portal (WLP) installer jar.zip file and then running its installer.jar file fails.

For example:

  1. The name of the WebLogic Portal (WLP) installer is portal103_generic.jar.zip.
  2. Unzip the installer portal103_generic.jar.zip file into a directory.
  3. There would now be an installer.jar file in the unzipped directory.
  4. Run java -jar installer.jar.

Below are the complete errors:

"A fatal error has occurred. The application will terminate"
