OAM 10g: Form Based Authentication Scheme Fails With the character $ in userid or password (Doc ID 1211114.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2016

Applies to:

COREid Access - Version: 10.1.4.2 and later   [Release: 10g and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When using the ASP.NET login control, the username and password textbox are named automatically in the following format nameofcontrol$nameoftextbox.
When we use the same name in the creds challenge parameter and the credential_mapping and validate_password plugins, the login form is shown back after submitting the credentials. Is it possible that the $ is not allowed in the authentication scheme and if not is it possible to escape this character?
