Check In Similar not populating Location Fields (Doc ID 1249785.1)

Goal

While checking in a Physical Content / Record values for Current Location and Permanent Location are entered but after the check-in is done, selecting Check-in Similar does not populate the values for these 2 fields . Is this a default behavior or if this is an issue that is seen ? If this is the default behavior what is the reason for not populating fields Current and Permanent Locations ?
