OVD Virtualattribute Plugin Not Accept DN Like Attribute Value (Doc ID 1254034.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 10.1.4.3.0 to 11.1.1.3.0 [Release 10gR3 to 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

If we have a ldap adapter with
root: ou=users4,o=company
remotebase: OU=users,o=company1

If we apply to this adapter, VirtualAttribute Plugin
and try to use for plugin like parameters :
Name: AddAttribute
Value: relateddn=ou=users,o=company1
The idea is to assign to virtual attribute "relateddn" value "ou=users,o=company1"

Then when searching for the virtual attribute , incorrect value is obtained .
The result will show only:
relateddn=company1

ldapsearch -h <OVD_Host> -p <port> -D "<superUserDN>" -w **** -s sub -b "ou=users4,o=company" "objectclass=*" relateddn
ou=users4,o=company
relateddn=company1
>> There is
>> relateddn=company1 , not relateddn=ou=users,o=company1>>>>
