8 Characters Limitation In File Extensions (Doc ID 1256174.1)

Symptoms

Full text search indexing is not possible for content with file extensions longer than 8 characters long e.g (.properties files like  'document1.properties').

Issue is also with full text indexing with OracleText; indexing fails if only the DOCUMENTS table DEXTENSION column is extended.
