Symptoms

When attempting to install a WebLogic Server 9.2 MP2 patch via the smart update tool (BSU) onto an ALSB 2.6rp1 installation, you get the following error when enabling the debug option in the BSU tool:

2010-10-21 13:14:27,149 DEBUG [Main Thread] com.bea.plateng.patch.dao.pio.PatchProductInfoHelper - prod-info file: file:/opt/bea/alsb/modules/com.bea.cie.patch-common_3.0.0.0.jar!/resources/patch-common/prod-info.xml

2010-10-21 13:14:27,663 DEBUG [Main Thread] com.bea.plateng.patch.PatchBundleTarget - Unsupported productAlias release! /opt/bea/alsb  Product: WebLogic Server Product Version: 9.2.2.0

Changes

The WebLogic Server patch is for WLS 9.2MP2, the version over which ALSB 2.6rp1 is deployed. However in the ALSB 2.6rp1 installation, the file <BEA_HOME>/registry.xml refers to the version WLS 9.2MP1:

<component name="WebLogic Server" version="9.2.1.0">

ALSB 2.6rp1 is in fact using WLS 9.2.2.0 (as opposed to ALSB 2.6 GA which is based on WLS 9.2.1.0), so this is an error in the ALSB 2.6rp1 registry.xml file.
