Symptoms
When attempting to install WebCenter Portal (previously called WebCenter Spaces), the following error occurs.
Installation Failed.
Prepare Session failed
The install Log shows the following error:
oracle.sysman.oii.oiic.OiicInstallAPIException:
at oracle.sysman.oii.oiic.OiicInstallAPISession.prepareForInstallOperations(OiicInstallAPISession.java:292)
at oracle.sysman.oii.oiic.OiicAPIInstaller.prepareForInstallOperations(OiicAPIInstaller.java:822)
at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.install.action.OUIInstaller.start(OUIInstaller.java:248)
at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.install.action.InstallManager.launchOUI(InstallManager.java:200)
at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.install.InstallModule.launchOUI(InstallModule.java:156)
at oracle.as.install.engine.modules.install.InstallModule$1.run(InstallModule.java:247)
STEPS
1. Install WebCenter Portal and provide all the requested information for the install.
2. In the "Installation Progress" window it stops with the error.
